From Middle Eastern cuisine this herbal Tisane uses the benefits of Zatar, a form of the herb Thyme. It’s ground into a fine, green powder and then sesame seeds are added.
It’s difficult to find authentic Zatar. However, I found one at the Olive and Vine in St. Johns (8711 N Lombard St Portland, OR 97203 (503) 285-2686).
Just add hot water and let sit 5 minutes and enjoy… We also use this at home sprinkled on a platter with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip nutty bread in for a treat.. delish!
These are simply the best Chinese herbal remedy that anyone can take! If you have indigestion, diarrhea, gas, burping, prety much anything uncomfortable with your stomach, these will help ease the pain.
They are a blend of common herbs like ginger and licorice, and our new friend Fu Ling. I would never travel or try out a new food cart without them!
