Apple Tea for the prevention and treatment of fevers.

This traditional remedy utilizes the cooling nature of apples, as well as their vitamin C content. Try it when your little one is ill, call it a "treat for the heat". They will love the sweet flavor.


  • 3 cooking apples peels intact, cored and sliced
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Directions: place apples and cold water in heatproof jar and cover. Set the jar in a saucepan and pour in the boiling water. Simmer 2 hours. Remove from heat and strain. Add lemon juice and honey and drink hot.
