We offer THE BEST CARE in PORTLAND for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Injury Recovery, Aesthetic Acupuncture Services, Massage, & Functional Nutrition.

Our team is highly experienced as each of our acupuncturists has been practicing for over 13+ years, and we have been the go-to clinic for injury care management for over 16 years.  Our integrative care is unique and effective and provides amazing results for your pain relief needs.

We offer a 4-step process that utilizes TCM, acupuncture, massage & cupping in each of our treatments.

Step 1: Let’s Connect

One-on-one wellness intake with your acupuncturist. The goal here is for you to feel seen and heard. Together, we design a treatment plan that addresses your desires and utilizes your acupuncturist’s professional knowledge.

Step 2: Here Comes AcuLand

An initial set of needles placed and you will begin to settle in. The goal of AcuLand is for your body to become one with the table, your mind to be clear, and your spirit to be light- that limbo place between sleep and awake where all is calm.

Step 3: Let’s Go Deeper

Second set of needles. This is your acupuncturist’s opportunity to shift you deeper into your treatment, revealing what’s next to further your healing.

Step 4: Let’s Reintegrate

Our Integrative Therapeutic Massage Specialist (ITMS) will come to you in your treatment room with the acupuncturist. The needles will be removed, the acupuncturist will have a quick conversation with the ITMS about your specific needs that day, and then leave the room, where your reintegration with massage begins.

*Our mission is to shift you as far as you can go within the bounds of what your body can handle that day. Everyone’s session is designed in the 4 sections, however each person will have their own specific needs met. Because we like to make each treatment specific to your body’s needs, we may incorporate other treatment modalities to best serve you while on the table, including cupping, moxa, gua sha, trigger point therapy/dry needling, red light therapy, TDP heat lamps and hugs if needed.

Cupping

Volunteering to get poked with needles brings up fear for some people, so cupping can be a great way to experience Chinese medicine and work up the guts to get some acupuncture. It is a painless modality that feels more like a massage in reverse! Patients report a feeling of ease and fluidity with their range of motion.

Cupping gently breaks up any adhesions that are formed in the muscle and skin layer due to overuse or underuse of muscles. Perfect for musculoskeletal pain, headaches from neck and shoulder tension, low back pain, stubborn coughs, avoiding a budding cold, and aiding in detoxification.

Feel free to add this on to any acupuncture or massage treatment!

Gua Sha

Originally called Gua Sha this ancient Chinese technique is also known as "scraping" or "graston." Gua Sha utilizes a ceramic spoon or jade gua sha tool.  Similar to cupping, this modality is generally used to release muscle tension and pain, encourage lymphatic drainage, and promote circulation. Gua Sha can be done gently on the face to reduce puffiness, smooth wrinkles, and encourage circulation.  If used a little more vigorously on the muscles and connective tissue it will also encourage circulation as well as break up scar tissue and facia. It is most commonly used for painful areas on the body that need more than massage or muscle release from acupuncture.

Integrative Therapeutic Massage Services

30min - Relax, shift and get brief but focused relief in your stress and tension *add on cupping for more effective relief in a short period of time.

60min - Relax, sink in deeper, and focus on 1-2 areas of concern to get relief *add on cupping for more muscle relief in a short period of time.

This is part of our acupuncture treatments and can also be added to your massage per request.

Moxa

We love the smell of this warming moxa treatment! Moxa is a dried herb called Mugwort. It comes manufactured in many forms.. a smokeless form, a raw form, a sticky cone form... all kinds! The idea behind it though is that it utilizes the warming properties that come out during the burning of the moxa to heal the body. It feels warm and emanates a very deep and nourishing feeling as it penetrates into the acupuncture channels.
If is useful for cold hands and feet, menstrual cramps, stomach disorders, arthritis, and much more!
